Mitch again, was one of the first guys down there running past me as I pulled up, “It’s fucken pumping!”…Fucken oath it was! But as the day went on it only got better. Before you knew it every man and his dog was out there. Fanning, Slater, Taj, Parko, Bede, Freestone, Hippo, Hazza…Jordy got a couple. The sidewash was insane, carnage evident by the broken boards and bleeding limbs. Some solid surfing went down, that day and the next. I counted about 7 or 8 other filmers and even more photogs. Here’s my interpretation of the events that unfolded…
